  • Free first aid awareness sessions come to city

    Birmingham people are being urged to be the difference between a life lost and a life saved with free first aid awareness sessions in September. Birmingham City Council’s Resilience Team, in partnership with St John Ambulance, are holding a series of first aid awareness sessions for Birmingham residents, businesses and community groups to attend.
  • Sky Arts launches Rankin campaign

    Sky Arts has signed world renowned photographer Rankin to provide images for a bold new project to transform UK streets into “the biggest gallery in Britain”. Covering a range of art forms – from ballet to modern art to literature – the striking images will transform Birmingham’s New Street, along with Parker Street/Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester, Newcastle’s Blacket Street, Liverpool’s Renshaw Street, George Street in Edinburgh and London’s Tottenham Court Road.
  • Birmingham to be hit as legal giant Eversheds outsources 100 jobs

    The company, which has a large office in Birmingham on Colmore Row, plans to make 100 redundancies by offshoring hobs in human resources, administration and finance to India. The jobs set to go are mainly spread across Eversheds offices in Birmingham, Cardiff and Leeds.
