a small drone that shoots in 4K resolution

In 2019, when DJI announced the Mavic Mini, it caused a stir. This tiny drone, weighing less than 250 grams, was indeed the first in its class to register at 2.7K, with a flight range of around 25 minutes. However, the device had its flaws, and there were plenty of criticisms that it only allowed JPEG format and the bit rate of just 40 Mbps.

Now the Mavic Mini 2 has been announced, which above all improves the photo / video part. In addition to native 4K, photos can be saved in RAW format, and videos can be recorded at 4K / 30 fps (or Full HD / 60 fps) with a bit rate of 100 Mbps, not to mention bracketing for automatic exposure. The sensor, however, is still small since it measures 1 / 2.3 inch.

The Mini 2 also gains in flight performance, since it now reaches a top speed of 56 km / h against the 46 km / h of the previous model, and the battery gains 6 minutes of autonomy which now drops to 31 minutes, against 25. minutes of its predecessor. This new drone can also withstand winds of 39 km / h.

The DJI Mini 2 is for sale on the DJI website for 459 euros (with controller and battery) or 599 euros for the Fly More Combo pack, which includes three batteries, a charger and a carrying case.
