AMD unveils new Radeon RX 6000 that promises 4K and 60fps gaming

Yesterday we reported here that AMD announced the new Ryzen 5000 processors based on the Zen 3 architecture, but that wasn’t the only new thing from the company, as it also announced a new graphics card, the Radeon. RX 6000. It is in fact the next generation of its graphics cards for ever more performance, and to counter the offer of Nvidia.

However, we will have to wait until the end of the month to know all the details concerning them. Meanwhile, Lisa Su, head of AMD, assured at the conference yesterday that gamers will be able to play in 4K at 60 frames per second, and without any problems. It will even be possible to go higher. On stage, she demonstrated Borderlands 3 running on a computer equipped with the Ryzen 5900X processor and Radeon RX 6000 card, where the game was running at 4K at 61 frames per second.

More details on the Radeon RX 6000 to arrive on October 28

Other protests have shown that some games will increase. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, for example, is capable of playing at 88 fps at 4K resolution with a Radeon RX 6000. Gears 5, on the other hand, allows 73 fps at 4K. In both cases, the graphics options are at their maximum.

Full details of the new graphics card will be released by AMD on October 28. This date is far from trivial, since the next day, October 29, Nvidia will launch its GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card.
