As we have already revealed here, Apple is preparing to organize a new event, which it has dubbed One More Thing, and which will be held on November 10, at 3 p.m. in Portugal.
Supposedly, this event should be used to announce the first Mac based on ARM technology, with Apple’s own processors, what we now call Apple Silicon. This means that the company is leaving out Intel, a company it has worked with since 2005, to equip its Macs.
The company had previously announced that it would announce its first ARM-based PCs in the year 2020, and it will likely be on November 10 that it will keep that promise. The reasons for the company to switch from Intel chips to its own chips are for economic reasons and above all because the company claims that with its own processors it can achieve better performance, with less power consumption. , and that alone justifies the change.
One More Thing: Apple event takes place on November 10
For now, only a Mac with this processor is expected to be announced, but the change in all devices is expected to happen in the not too distant future. In addition, the company should take the opportunity to announce the launch of macOS 11 Big Sur.
For now, it remains to wait for November 10, a little over a week.
