Apple launches iOS 14.2 public beta 3 and macOS Big Sur Beta 10

Yesterday, Apple started releasing the third public beta of iOS 14.2 for the iPhone and the same version of iPadOS for the iPad. This version appears 24 hours after it is made available to programmers.

If your iPhone or iPad is set up to receive beta versions, simply go to Settings> General> Software Update to download the third public beta of iOS 14.2. Otherwise, and if you want to try the beta versions, just go to, sign in with your Apple ID, and follow the instructions to upgrade to the beta.

Apple is also offering the tenth beta (build 20A5395g) of macOS Big Sur. For now, it’s only available to developers and comes two weeks after the previous version. As for the new public beta, it will be available a little later.

If your Mac is set up to receive beta versions, open System Preferences, go to Software Updates, and download the tenth beta of macOS Big Sur.

When will macOS Big Sur be released?

Officially, Apple has not yet provided information on the release of the new version of the software for the mac, in the form of a stable version. We’ve known since June that the update will arrive this fall, and that Apple typically offers updates for macOS in October.
