Cadaver debuts today on Netflix

Cadaver, Netflix’s first Norwegian film debuts on the Streming platform today. The film was written and directed by young and talented director Jarand Herdal and played by Gitte Witt, Thorbjørn Harr and Thomas Gullestad.

Cadaver is a Norwegian psychological horror film which takes us on a journey where humanity is put to the test and stars, among others, Gitte Witt (The Impossible), Thorbjørn Harr (Vikings, July 22), Thomas Gullestad (The 12th man) and Kingsford Siayor.

Starving after a nuclear disaster, Leonora (Gitte Witt), Jacob (Thomas Gullestad) and their daughter Alice (Tuva Olivia Remman) are on the brink of survival. One day, the local hotel invites survivors to attend a play, with a meal included, as part of a charitable effort to help those in need. Having no choice, the family of three decides to head to the hotel, where the manager, Mathias (Thorbjørn Harr), presents the entire hotel as a stage. Participants are given masks to separate them from the cast, but the play takes a spooky turn as the audience members begin to disappear. The line between reality and theater quickly blurs, until Alice disappears in front of Leo and Jacob, and there is no longer any doubt: there is something wrong with Mathias’ hotel.

Cadaver is already on Netflix

The cast also includes Maria Grazia Di Meo (Kathrine), Trine Wiggen (Rakel), Jonathan Rodriguez (David), Stig Frode Henriksen (Hans) and Helge Jordal (Ticketmaster).

The film is produced by Espen Horn and Kristian Strand Sinkerud of Motion Blur Films, also a producer behind the recently announced Netflix Troll films and another untitled Netflix original series.
