EMUI 11 beta arrives on Huawei P30 and P30 Pro

Huawei has been recruiting users for some time to test EMUI 11, which is its new interface, based on the Android operating system. It seems that this recruiting phase is over, and the owners of the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro have now received the beta.

The changelog of this new version gives us an overview of the improvements made by the Chinese manufacturer. The first good news is that this new version is finally based on Android 11, the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system.

What’s new in EMUI 11 for the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro?

The first is the multi-window mode, which allows applications to be opened in a floating window, thus offering the possibility of performing several tasks at the same time, always on the same screen. The open app can be moved around at will and collected in a bubble that can be reopened at any time. The new notebook, meanwhile, now syncs across all devices. In addition, it will now be possible to extract text from photos or documents, then edit and export it to another format.

Huawei also wants to improve the overall user experience, adding subtle animation effects when certain features are enabled. It will also be easier to read articles in a foreign language, since the interface will give you the possibility of directly translating the text of your choice, simply by selecting it.

The manufacturer has also worked on the security options of its interface. Thus, pop-up windows will appear to manage the permissions of the apps. When the phone screen is transmitted to another device, incoming calls and messages appear only on the smartphone itself, in order to protect user privacy.

Finally, remember that HamonyOS will be compatible with all smartphones with EMUI 11. They will benefit from the update as soon as the operating system is available.
