Facebook users on Android devices are patiently waiting for the long-awaited Dark Mode, which will replace the app’s blue tones. However, according to information that has emerged in recent hours, Facebook has started publicly testing dark mode for its official Facebook app for Android.
The information comes from Jane Manchun Wong, who shared a video of what Dark Mode will look like in the official Android app, and it’s exactly what we’ve all been waiting for.

Facebook for Android on the verge of dark mode
Jane is known to have revealed various resources in advance, from various apps, including Facebook, but the information now available is not leaked, as has been done in collaboration with Facebook. However, you should understand that this is a public test that is done on a small scale as it is not available to many users. So it’s safe to say that this could reach a larger user base very soon.
As for the rest of the apps owned by Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram have been updated with dark mode a long time ago. The iOS version of Facebook has been around for a while as well, and we’re finally about to step into dark mode on the Android version of Facebook.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise, but Dark Mode is gorgeous, especially if you have a phone with an OLED display, as darker tones, even when gray, look absolutely gorgeous.
