Galaxy S9 starts receiving OneUI 2.5 update

After the Galaxy Note9 which started to receive most versions of the Samsung operating system, it was time for the Galaxy S9 series equipment to receive the long-awaited update for OneUI 2.5.

The firmware provided with version G960FXXUCFTJ2 in addition to OneUI 2.5 has the security patch for the Android operating system for the month of October 2020. But here are the main points of the official Samsung changelog:

October Security Patch; Video Pro functionality improvements; Ability to search YouTube using the Samsung keyboard; Support for Bitmoji stickers for AOD (always-on display); Ability to call someone from your standard contact list for a pre-configured SOS message.

The update is around 710MB, and in addition to all that has been revealed above, it comes with the usual system improvements that will provide the equipment with better performance and stability, and the bug fix usual could not be missing. In addition, the arrival of OneUI 2.5 opens the door to Wireless DeX, thanks to which it is possible to start mirroring the Samsung DeX interface on smart TVs with Miracast support.
