Ghost of Tsushima will run at 60 fps

Explained simply and quickly, the spectacular Ghost of Tsushima, which until the launch of PlayStation 5 will remain an exclusive PlayStation 4, will run at 60 fps on the new console and with almost no load time.

And that’s not a rumor, it’s announced by Sucker Punch Production, the studio behind the game, which used their Twitter account to make the announcement, which came in response, after Sony detailed backward compatibility.

#GhostOfTsushima will be playable on PS5 from day one via backward compatibility, and you can move your save over from PS4 to pick up where you left off!

For those who don’t know, gaming on PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro runs at 30 fps, and on the new console, gamers will be able to dub frames up to 60 fps. If that alone wasn’t encouraging enough, Sony revealed that the load times have improved significantly:

PS4 games look even better on PS5. Some PS4 titles will have increased load speeds on the PS5 console and also take advantage of Game Boost, providing improved and / or more stable frame rates. Some games with unlocked frame rates or dynamic resolution up to 4K may have higher fidelity. Additionally, PS4 games will also benefit from some of the PS5’s new UX features, but more will be coming later.

But the good news doesn’t end there, as Sucker Punch has revealed that players will be able to transfer their Ghost of Tsushima from PS4 to PS5 in order to continue playing where they left off.

Whether or not to transfer saved games between a PS4 version and a PS5 version of the same game is a decision of the programmer, according to Sony, which will vary from game to game.

For now, we can only wait for the arrival of the PlayStation 5, which will reach the vast majority of countries on November 19. And it’s guaranteed, this Ghost of Tsushima, like The Last Of Us Part 2, will be one of the first games I try when the console hits us.
