During the Huawei Developer Conference 2020, the Chinese manufacturer announced the latest version of its mobile operating system, EMUI 11, however, it was still based on Android 10. Now new information shows that with the ‘Arrival of the new Huawei Mate 40, the company will be able to launch EMUI 11, based on Android 11, at least for the European market.
A document that was revealed by HuaweiCentral staff reveals that the company is working on a version based on Android 11, with the EMUI 11 interface, and that it will arrive with the Mate 40 Pro, a device that will be announced in a few days.
Huawei is really working on Android 11
Although Huawei has several issues with the US government, and for this reason it cannot use Google services, nothing prohibits it from using Android 11, as it is open source, and as is more than normal, The company will take advantage of this fact to use the operating system, by putting its own interface.
This rumor suggests that EMUI 11, based on Android 11, could be announced on the launch day of Mate 40 Pro, although development stages may vary. The good news is that at least this rumor confirms that Huawei is not working on the new version of Google’s operating system.
Meanwhile, Huawei is testing EMUI 11 in several countries, as it has released beta versions (based on Android 10) for the Huawei P40 and Mate 30 Pro series devices. After the release of the stable version, these devices will likely be upgraded to Android 11, but no official confirmation is currently available.
