One of Prison Break’s biggest stars, Wentworth Miller, has opened up about her decision to quit the popular drama series. In a new post made available on Instagram, which we can read below, the actor seemed confident that he will no longer be playing straight characters, most notably his longtime role as Michael Scofield in Prison Break.
Miller had previously declared himself homosexual in August 2013 after writing a letter to GLAAD staff about how he was “deeply disturbed” by the Russian government’s treatment of LGBT citizens.
Miller played the role of Scofield for five seasons, which included a subsequent rebirth. The original set-up for the series had his character hatching an elaborate plan to get his brother, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), out of prison with the help of his new girlfriend Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies), the prison doctor. .
But there won’t be any more seasons of Prison Break, at least with Miller participating.
Wentworth Miller to skip another season of Prision Break
The truth is, without Wentworth Miller, the series is meaningless, because it’s like a game of football without a ball or surfing without waves.
So it’s almost certain to say that Prision Break is officially dead, and very sorry, because it’s probably one of the best series ever produced.
