Launched in partnership with Maze, Casa do Impacto, Galp, Amorim and EDP, the initiative aims to inspire startups to promote their solutions in the areas of sustainability and social impact, Microsoft’s strategic priorities at scale. global. Registration is open from today until November 30. The selected startups will have the opportunity to present their business models during a Pitch Day in December, then will be chosen to collaborate with the various partners.

“Track Good Vibrations” – Amorim: The high traffic flow on the railway lines generates high levels of vibrations which require a solution. Amorim, world leader in cork, has developed a set of materials that are used as base plates or “cushions” to effectively reduce railway vibrations and thus improve the quality of transport. Now is the time to explore the potential of industrial IoT technology to improve the existing railroad. It is thus looking for innovative and disruptive solutions that promote the acceleration of carbon neutrality in our society and, at the same time, prove its positive impact in the improvement of human rights and biodiversity. The winner will be invited to join the EDP Starter Community, an international community of more than 200 technology startups and SMEs. “Pitch to the Future of Energy” – Galp: Digital transformation, emerging technologies and sustainability have never been more important for the industry and the energy sector. The challenge is to find innovative entrepreneurs capable of leading the energy transition. The award consists of a consultation with Galp’s technical and commercial specialists and a proof of concept with the areas of activity of the company. Enter The MAZE “- Maze: Social impact accelerator promoted by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Edmond de Rothschild Foundations, Maze seeks early entrepreneurial solutions focused on solving social and environmental problems through sustainable business models The prize will provide access 5 mentoring sessions in Strategy, Fundraising, Corporate Engagement, Impact Management and Marketing. “AI for Good” – Microsoft for Startups: The challenge aims to support an innovative solution, which integrates skills development, sustainability and accessibility, supporting the ‘social empowerment through technology.
