Coming from New York to London to work at the prestigious Pierpoint & Co., Harper will do anything to prove that he is the best employee for his promotion. Harper’s ambition intensifies when he finds himself surrounded by people born with privilege, like Yasmin (Marisa Abela) who, despite his origin, faces his own challenges. Yasmin has seen different expectations for her since she was a child and is tired of being professionally underestimated. At Pierpoint, Harper and Yasmin will have to prove their worth as professionals among their fellow graduates. One of them is Robert (Harry Lawtey), who comes from the working class and believes in true meritocracy, where wearing a costume will help you distance yourself from your past. In contrast, Robert’s roommate, Gus (David Jonsson), was trained to work at institutions like Pierpoint, coming from Eton and Oxford, and sees this experience as just another stint on a list of requirements that will lead directly to Downing Street. Naive Hari (Nabhaan Rizwan) has always dreamed of working in banking, dressing like an important person and is determined to be successful at all costs.
