Operation Merry Christmas is now on Netflix

At the behest of her boss, Congresswoman Erica Miller is forced to miss Christmas with her family. Assigned to a seaside air base to find reasons to shut down the facility, Erica struggles with Captain Andrew Jantz, who disagrees with his difficult mission.

It turns out that Miller seems to want to change his mind when he meets Air Force Captain Andrew Jantz, who helps him experience “the customs and community spirit of his host family.”

In the trailer for the film, we can see scenes that show the couple meeting the islanders, dancing and celebrating Christmas at the base.

And although the love story is made up, the film’s namesake is very real. For nearly 70 years, the Air Force has used airplanes to deliver necessary supplies to island populations who are not easily accessible by boat.
