As promised, the Xiaomi subsidiary today announced the new Poco C3, a new entry-level phone, in which the most important note goes to its giant battery and low price.
And as we suspected, this smartphone is a copy of the already known Redmi 9C, which arrived on the market a few weeks ago. Thus, this “new” smartphone has a 6.53-inch screen and an HD + resolution of 720×1600 pixels. Inside we have a Mediatek chip, the Helio G35, which has an Octa-Core processor that runs at a maximum of 2.3GHz and the IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. This chip comes with 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of internal eMMC storage (respectively). However, this internal storage can be expanded using a MicroSD card up to 512 GB.
On the front, inside the notch, we have a 5MP sensor with f / 2.2 aperture, and on the back we have three sensors, in which the main sensor has 13MP with an f / 2.2 aperture, and two other 2MP sensors for depth of field and macro.
In terms of connectivity, it includes support for 4G / VoLTE networks, WiFi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS, FM radio, 3.5mm port and microUSB for battery charging. There is also a fingerprint reader on the back.
POCO C3 was officially announced in India
As already mentioned, the battery is the strong point of this POCO C3, because it has a unit of 5000 mAh, but only with a charge of 10 watts which implies quite long charging times. The operating system is based on Android 10, with the MIUI 12 interface.
Three colors are available, Arctic Blue, Lime Green and Matte Black, with sales starting October 16 in India. For the 3-32 GB version, 7,499 rupees will be needed, around 95 euros, while the 4-64 GB variant will cost 8,499 rupees, or just over 107 euros.
