Pokémon Go already supports transfers at Pokémon HOME

Pokémon GO is now officially linked to Pokémon HOME, allowing Trainers to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME! This functionality is gradually being made available to all coaches based on their current coaching level. Just log into Pokémon GO frequently for the option to transfer their Pokémon to Pokémon HOME.

Trainers will use a new feature in Pokémon GO, the GO Transporter, to transfer Pokémon to Pokémon HOME. Each time you transfer a Pokémon, energy will be extracted from the GO Transporter. The energy used by the GO Transporter recharges over time, but can also be replenished via PokéCoins. The cost of the energy used with the GO Transporter, to transfer Pokémon, varies depending on the Pokémon.

To celebrate this development, Trainers who transfer a Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME will receive the Mythical Pokémon Melmetal. This special Melmetal can be transformed into a Gigantamax, in any Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield battle that allows it. This Melmetal can be received as a mystery gift in the Pokémon HOME version for mobile devices. Trainers can then use the Pokémon HOME version of Nintendo Switch to transfer that Melmetal to the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield games and add it to their team. This is the first time that Gigantamax Melmetal has been made available to Trainers, so don’t miss this opportunity to join the Mythic Steel-type Pokémon!

Connect Pokémon GO to Pokémon Home to get a Melmetal that can become Gigantamax

After transferring a Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME, Trainers will be able to open the Mystery Box on Pokémon GO, which will cause the rare Mythical Pokémon Meltan to appear on the map for a limited time. Trainers can evolve Meltan into Melmetal by collecting 400 Meltan Candy.
