PUBG for PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X gears up for the big news

PUBG is receiving a new update, both on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, which will improve the game a bit. Update 9.1, which was released today on the test server audience, has arrived with the so-called Framerate Priority, which increases the game’s frame rate to 60, when playing in FullHD (1080p) resolution.

While there is still no news on this, the team is preparing similarly for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One S, but still have no indication of when it will be ready (though it will).

The Framerate Priority setup has some cool changes this time around. The image limit has been increased to 60 and the screen resolution will be set to 1920 x 1080 to increase the frame rate. The new Framerate Priority is available on Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro, and we’re investigating ways to bring the high frame limit to other console devices. Stay tuned.

The PUBG 9.1 update for consoles also comes with a new map, Paramo, balance adjustments, and a few additional new features. Full details on the new update are available on the game’s official website (here).

Tucked away hidden among the clouds in the highlands of South America is Paramo, an ancient land with ancient secrets. The dangers of Paramo are many, but none are as dangerous as the nearby active volcano, whose streams of molten lava flow through the earth. Survivors falling on the battlefields of Paramo will only be able to reach the mountains by helicopter, which is also responsible for distributing Care Packs in the field. Paramo is a 3 × 3 map with a dynamic new world for PUBG. This dynamic global system changes location between departures, making every trip to Paramo a unique experience.

PUBG is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and a mobile version is also available for Andorid and iOS.
