Samsung is preparing the Galaxy A02, a low-cost smartphone

Samsung appears to be preparing to announce the new Galaxy A02, the one that is the natural successor to the Galaxy A01 announced earlier this year. The proof that this is about to happen is that the equipment received its certification from the CPQD R&D center in Latin America.

The documents made available by this certification, which we can see below, reveal the model number referring to the battery that powers the device, and this has the same model number, HQ-50S, which also has been seen at TUV Rheinland, where he was located revealed that the unit in question has a capacity of 5000mAh.

In other words, the Galaxy A02, and possibly the Galaxy M02, will feature a 5,000mAh battery. The reason the Galaxy M02 may also share this feature is that it already shares other important specs with the Galaxy A02, and early evidence shows that it may be the same device but with different names, for different markets.

Other specifications of this Galaxy A02 that were previously revealed speak of a device with 64 GB of internal storage and 2 GB of RAM. The phone leaves the factory running Android 10 and its chip will be manufactured by Qualcomm, probably the Snapdragon 450. Since the Galaxy A01 launched in January 2020, after being revealed in December 2019, there is a good chance that the Galaxy A02 is announced before the end of the year, and that it hits the market in early 2021, and likely priced under $ 200.
