Premieres today on Netflix the third and final season of Suburra – The Series, an original Italian Netflix thriller produced by Cattleya – which is part of ITV Studios – and Bartlebyfilm.
Begun in 2017 and designed from the ground up to tell the unholy trinity – Church, State, Crime – over three seasons, Netflix’s first original series comes to its epic final act.
If the first season revolved around the Vatican and the acquisition of land in Ostia for the construction of a port, the second season centered on the competition for political power over the city with the election of a new mayor. , the final act will take the streets of Rome as the only stage in a battle full of twists and turns and unexpected alliances to win the throne of Rome.
The protagonists of the first two seasons are back: Aureliano (Alessandro Borghi), Spadino (Giacomo Ferrara), Amedeo Cinaglia (Filippo Nigro), Samurai (Francesco Acoli), Manfredi Anacleti (Adamo Dionisi), Sara Monaschi (Claudia Gerini), Angelica (Carlotta Antonelli), Nadia (Federica Sabatini), Alice Cinaglia (Rosa Diletta Rossi), Adelaide Anacleti (Paola Sotgiu), Cardinale Fiorenzo Nascari (Alberto Cracco) and Adriano (Jacopo Venturiero).
Suburra Season 3 is now on Netflix
After the tragic suicide of Lele, unable to live with the guilt of the crimes he committed, and the unexpected awakening of Manfredi, leader of the Anacleti clan, from a coma, the balance of power between all the characters is again uncertain. The third season takes place between the streets and alleys of Rome to reveal its crime world up close. With the election of the new mayor of Rome and the rise of Cinaglia on the Capitol, Suburra resumes its activities. The “upper” world and the “lower” world must come to an agreement to share the greatest business of the new millennium: the Jubilee. Aureliano and Spadino are ready to challenge Samurai again and claim the throne of the Eternal City. Who will win this fight to the death for whoever takes over the city?
This third season will be directed by Arnaldo Catinari, editing the story of Giancarlo De Cataldo and Carlo Bonini, the screenplay by Ezio Abbate, Fabrizio Bettelli, Andrea Nobile, Camilla Buizza and Marco Sani.
